Regional Occupation Program - R.O.P.

ROP classes are open to students 16 and over. ROP classes offer career and technical preparation across five career majors and including over 70 classes that offer the opportunity to become skill certified. Along with skill certification, students have the opportunity to earn high school credit, acquire work experience, explore career options, and even earn scholarships. All ROP classes include job search, resume writing and an employment skills component. There are three types of ROP classes:
  • Cooperative Technical Education - Students currently working receive job-related skills training.
  • Community Internship - Students participate in a non-paid community internship as well as classroom instruction.
  • Traditional classroom - Skill training in a classroom setting.

Pathways to Success

ROP has entered into articulation agreements with Saddleback College. In many cases this allows students to receive credit or advanced placement for ROP classes taken in high school.
